About Us

We make each rake to suit. The wood, the size and the use all matter. We advise and make what suits the job, honestly and without fuss.

We work by hand. Cleaving and shaping the ash, fitting the tines and the handle, finishing, step by step, with care. It is honest, satisfying work, and that is where the difference from a machine-made tool lies.

We are a small workshop making wooden rakes and hand tools by hand from cleft ash. To us a rake is more than a tool: cleft, shaped and fitted by hand, it is light, strong and, cared for, it lasts for years of work. That is what our work is about.
